Privacy Policy
Effective July 2026
Pelagus Works LLC ("Pelagus Works," "we," "us," or "our") operates pelagusworks.com and provides automated camera systems and content services for sports facilities. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
We collect information in three main ways:
- Information you give us. When you submit a contact or facility inquiry form, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if provided), facility details, and anything you include in your message.
- Footage and audio captured through our systems. Where we operate camera and microphone systems inside a partner facility, we capture video and audio of activity in that facility. This capture is arranged through our agreement with the facility, which is responsible for posting appropriate notice and obtaining the consents described below.
- Usage information. Like most websites, we collect basic technical information such as browser type, device, and pages viewed to keep the site secure and working well.
How we use information
- To respond to inquiries and provide our services.
- To produce, edit, and publish content on behalf of partner facilities.
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve our systems and website.
- To communicate with you about your account, projects, or requests.
Recording, likeness, and minors
Our services often involve recording athletes, some of whom may be minors. Consent for recording and for using a person's likeness in content is handled through the agreements we maintain with each partner facility, including notice to participants and, where applicable, parental or guardian consent for minors. If you are a parent, athlete, or facility member and want footage of yourself or your child reviewed or removed, contact us at team@pelagusworks.com and we will work with the facility to address your request.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
- Service providers that help us operate, such as our form-delivery provider (Web3Forms), our website host (Vercel), and video hosting platforms used to publish content.
- The relevant facility, when you contact us about content or activity connected to that facility.
- Legal and safety recipients, when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and property.
Data retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide our services and for legitimate business or legal purposes, then delete or de-identify it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by emailing team@pelagusworks.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws.
Children's privacy
Our website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website. Footage of minors captured in partner facilities is handled under the consent arrangements described above. If you believe a child's information has been collected in error, contact us and we will remove it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above.
